If you are looking for something a bit different this year then our Half term ski safari could be the answer. Our program is designed for families with teenagers of all ski and snow board abilities. It is a fully tour guided program to make your lives easier as well as helping generate great camaraderie within the group.

Flights from the UK to Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital are only 1hr 40mins and transfer time from Ljubljana airport to your luxury accommodation is only 25 mins; making this one of the most accessible winter ski adventures in Europe.

Our teen friendly ski holiday takes you too 5 lovely Slovenia ski resorts and also includes lots of additional fun activities such as snow bikes, snow shoeing and tobogganing. The program is based in the luxury Grand Union hotel; hand picked for its perfect location in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital. Breakfast and dinners are included; as is free swimming pool access; in case the kids have any access energy to burn. For mums and dads there is also a spa with sauna, massage and other treatments.

For our final night we always arrange a gala meal in a lovely restaurant in Ljubljana itself. Our experienced and friendly tour leaders are on hand through out to ensure you have the best times possible.

Day 1: Welcome!

Our carefully designed teenage family ski holiday starts with a private fitment at our ski fitment center. This means no queues or hassle on day 2. We will have everything ready for you. In the afternoon you can check-in at the luxury Grand hotel union and enjoy a swim and exploring the fairy tale Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. Dinner is included each evening and is hosted by our dedicated tour leader.

Day 2: Krvavec ski resort

Our first child friendly ski resort is Krvavec; just a short transfer from Ljubljana. Krvavec offers a nice range of well maintained ski runs and stunning views. Ski conditions are historically always very good here with over 100 skiing days on average each season. Our tour leader will over see everything and can arrange private lessons and or advise on the best free riding.

Transfer time to Krvavec ski resort from your accommodation is only 30 minutes.

Day 3: Golte ski resort

Day 3 takes you to one of the most beautiful ski resorts in Slovenia, Golte. Golte encompasses 60 hectares of pristine nature and superbly maintained pistes. Whether an experienced skier,a fearless teenager or a complete beginner there really is something to please everyone here.
When you are ready for some R&R you can warm yourself by a fire in one of the log cabins that offer delicious homemade food and specialties from the Upper Savinja Valley.

Day 4: Cerkno ski resort

Today we take you and your loved ones to one of the prettiest family ski resorts in Europe. Cerkno offers some lovely skiing for all abilities and has one of the most modern and fastest lift systems in Europe. Enjoy a day free riding, practice your carve turns or simply take it easy and enjoy the super conditions Cerkno ski resort offers. As always our tour leader will be with you to offer advice and make sure you are getting the most out of your family ski safari.

Day 5: Vogel ski resort

Day 5 will take you and your family skiing on Vogel ski resort. Vogel is a true paradise for family skiing, snowboarding, freestyle cross-country skiing, off-piste skiing, free skiing, snow shoeing, sledging and so on. The magnificent scenery coupled with the well maintained slopes make it another hugely enjoyable resort to explore. Transfer time to Golte ski resort from your accommodation is only 1 hour.

Day 6: Kranjska Gora ski resort

Today we visit Slovenia’s most famous family ski resort Kranjska Gora.

The white spirit of Kranjska Gora is and always will be Alpine skiing. Kranjska Gora offers superb diversity of slopes and high quality skiing for beginners and experienced skiers alike. The ski village is very pretty and makes for a great lunch time base. Fun, smiles and camaraderie are all part of what makes our half term ski holidays so special and highly regarded.

Day 7: Krvavec ski resort & farewell meal

Today is our final day and we will make the short 30 minute transfer back to Krvavec where we can enjoy some more great family skiing and epic views. As well as snow shoeing and tobogganing opportunities earlier in the week we can also arrange ski bikes today. This is so much fun and guaranteed to put smiles on faces of parents and teenagers alike. This evening we will arrange a special farewell gala meal at a lovely restaurant in the heart of Ljubljana

Day 8: “See you again!”

Time to say goodbye to your tour guides but hopefully we will see you again. We are also sure new friendships will have been made and special memories created. Transfer time is only 20 minutes to the airport.

    Q: Where shall we fly too?

    A: Best option – is to arrive in Ljubljana. Second best option is Trieste. Both have similar transfer times to our adventure base, and offer a scenic route there. Do note though: Trieste can attach a smaller additional transfer fee per person, if the group is less than 4 people.

    Q: Italy looks nearby, can we come from Venice?
    A: The route from Italy is a little further, so an additional petrol supplement will have to be included for these return transfers. The drive is scenic & very pleasant. Clients have enjoyed pre & post stays within the ‘city of water’ the world famous Venice. Do note, we only pickup from the airports, not the city centre of Venice.

    Q: Tell me about the fitness levels required
    A: A moderate fitness level is required and our holidays are not suitable for pregnant women. We ask client’s to be of good health and state of mind. It is not suitable for persons with learning difficulties, and importantly – a person’s mental age must match their adults age & strength. If you suffer with any disabilities, please disclose this information during your enquiry. If this information is not disclosed before booking with us, we have the right to cancel your holiday – in part or full without refund.

  • Insurance

    Q: Should I take out insurance before travelling?
    A: Yes. It’s part of our booking terms & conditions that you must have ‘travel’ and ‘activity’ insurance when making a booking with our company. This insurance must cover all aspects of the booking you have made with us, and for the duration of your travel dates.

  • Age restrictions

    Q: Is there a minimum age?

    A: Some holidays and activities have a minimum age requirement – ask your 1-1 manager

    Q: What if we have a mix of ages, not just teens?

    A: If you have a mix of ages for example 14, 10 and 7 then unfortunately the 7 year old would not be able to take part. However some families still choose to come and parents will take it in turns to child-mind. Or we can tailor make a special trip for you!

    Q: Do you age match groups?

    A: Where ever possible, we try our best too ! And we try to gender match !

    Q: Is there a maximum age?
    A: The answer is related to fitness. Can you cope with the physical demands of the activities. 

  • Winter Clothing

    Q: I’ve booked a ski & snowboard holiday with you. Do you provide all the clothing?
    A: No. Clothes, hats, googles, gloves, helmets, and warm layers are not provided. They can be possibly rented, upon written request.

     Q: I’ve booked a multi activity holiday, that invloves sub-zero temperatures. What specialist clothing do you provide?
    A:
    We provide all the specialist arctic clothing for any activity / tour, you have booked with us. Often our clients can keep the clothing throughout their stay, so they rarely have to buy/bring their own clothing. Please fully discuss this with your travel manager, so they can clarifty what is 100% included during your stay.

    Q: What shall i bring for arctic regions and sub-zero conditions?
    A:
    As mentioned in the above answer, we’ll be providing any specialists clothing you need to particpitate in total comfort. From inner mitten’s and helmets to hermal jacket/trousers and gloves. Everything is taken care of. If you are prone to cold hands or poor circulation, we recommend you purchase ‘hand warmer packs’. These can be squeezed and held inside your gloves, which act as a tempoary heater throughout the activity.

     Q: I suffer with poor blood circulation, and my hands tend to get cold. Can i still enjoy the activity tours?
    A:
    Firstly, we must understand the degree of your problem, but ‘yes’ its very possible. With the correct clothing and preparation – and choosing the correct tour duration, our guests will be warm and happy. It’s important to discuss this in detial with our travel managers, and they will design the correct winter adventure holiday for you.
