Multi active bike & raft

Soca Valley

7 nights, 8 days
Prog Code - SOCA-WK
Prices from £1095 pp

Our family activity holidays in Soca Valley are ‘simply the best’, originally jumping into the British public’s attention almost 15 years ago – on the BBC holiday show. We are very proud to say our adventure base was the host to this media event. The successful ingredients to our teen adventures, are our focus on matching families and kids ages, whilst enjoying many thrilling sports.

All our teenage family focused activities are less than 30 minutes transfer from your lovely hotel. So less time on a bus and more time enjoying the power of nature! Our activities are not extreme so only a moderate level of fitness is required but they are certainly a lot of fun. Restless teenagers are also always impressed with our friendly guides and find our trips an easy environment to make new friends.

Of course this Slovenia adventure holiday attracts like minded families. On the evenings, parents relax with the local wine and beer, whist the teens bond in a very safe surrounding. Some of the highlights of this week, will be: our 3 course gala dinners, cycling and kayaking in Slovenia countryside, descending through the canyons and rafting on the emerald colored Soca River.

Day 1: Arrival day

We can collect from Ljubljana and Trieste airports, greeting you with a smile as you enter the arrival halls. From the airport we will transfer to the Soca Valley, which is about 15 minutes drive from the town of Tolmin. Amazing nature will face you from all directions, from the rolling green hills to the deepest of canyons.

Day 2: Scenic walk

This is a gentle activity, breathing space into the day, so you can meet the other families and to start learning the many new names. We will walk into the devils gorge, cross the emerald water rapids and hike along the quiet footpaths. Our guides are from this area, and will point out the local wildlife. You’ll soon realise how green this country is, and how pristine the national parks are.

Day 3: Mountain Biking

Biking and rafting in Slovenia are huge past times for the locals, so today we have planned a cycling route for your family. On our mountain bikes, we’ll discover rolling meadows, ride alongside the Soca River and bike through many pretty mountain villages. Regardless if you’re an avid cyclist, this promises to be a great day out on two wheels. A moderate level of fitness is required but our guides are brilliant and will pace the day to make sure all members of the group are cycling with smiles on their faces!

Day 4: White water rafting

This ‘team’ sport really brings the group together. Whether Teenagers Vs. Parents or pulling together as a family, rafting is so much fun. With thrilling water drops and of course time for splashing, and playing water games, Slovenia rafting and biking are always huge favourites amongst the teens travelling with us. The Soca water is so clean, you can drink fresh from the source. It’s a simply breathtaking river, with its unique emerald colour and challenging rapids.

Day 5: Relax day

Today is your free day. Simply relax in the hotels outside pool and Jacuzzi or be active. For day trips, we can recommend Lake BLED.

Day 6: Banana kayaks & BBQ

Today we will take on a different section of the Soca river, and try our hands at mini rafting or banana kayaks. These rafts are powered and steered by ‘you’ and without the skills of a qualified captain. You’ll be taking on grade 3 rapids, mini waterfalls and some pulsating white waters! This Family adventure Slovenia raft trip, will test your paddling skills, balance and strength. Get ready for some amazing splash action!

Day 7: Canyoning time

In case you thought your active family holiday in Slovenia had reached its high, think again. Today we embark on what many families consider the highlight. Green World has exclusive use of the Prsjak gorge, so it will only be our guests here! The canyon is immense, offering twist, jumps, drops and turns at every level. After 2-3 hours of sliding, climbing, jumping, hiking you feel thoroughly fulfilled.

Day 8: Departure day (too soon)

Sadly it is time to say goodbye; but we prefer to say ‘until the next time’. We are confident this teenager adventure holiday will be one of your all time favourites!

  • Age restrictions

Q: Is there a minimum age?

A: Some holidays and activities have a minimum age requirement – ask your 1-1 manager

Q: What if we have a mix of ages, not just teens?

A: If you have a mix of ages for example 14, 10 and 7 then unfortunately the 7 year old would not be able to take part. However some families still choose to come and parents will take it in turns to child-mind. Or we can tailor make a special trip for you!

Q: Do you age match groups?

A: Where ever possible, we try our best too ! And we try to gender match !
