Our guide will greet you at Zagreb airport [or city centre] and we will transfer you to your 3 star hotel in Zvecaj village. After settling into your room, you can have a drink on the terrace overlooking the Mreznica waterfalls. Take a walk along the river, have a swim or just relax – you’re now on holiday! 

After a traditional home made breakfast, we will start today’s activity just outside the hotel. Our guide will introduce you to the surrounding nature and of course our kayaks. Safety and paddling techniques will be discussed for open top canoes and our two person’s sit-in-kayaks. We will be paddling upstream enjoying the biological diversity of this conservation area. There are 4 species of birds listed on the ‘endangered list’ here, which explains why the Mreznica is a protected area. We will spend our day swimming in the clear and warm waters of the river. Along the way we’ll discover small waterfalls. Some of them, we can safely jump from!

Your Croatia family activity holiday is about to take your breath away! Today, we are driving you through the countryside, all the way to our countries most iconic lakes. Plitvice Lakes are a National Park and a ‘must see’ if staying within the region. They are a spectacular water phenomenon which consists of sixteen beautiful lakes linked together, with magnificent cascading waterfalls and pools. You’ll be amazed by the wonders of nature here. Our day will consist of exploring this Unesco designated area by following narrow paths, crossing over wooden bridges and boat rides over the lakes.

Another perfect way to discover the Mreznica region is by bike. Cycling allows for a much more enjoyable experience, rather than driving by bus or car. The best trails in the region are only accessible on foot or bike, allowing our guests to be closer to nature. We start from the hotel and make our way around cliff sides overlooking the bright blue Adriatic Sea. We make our way to a family run vineyard stopping to enjoy an optional picnic lunch. Then we can relax as we glide down hill until we arrive at the lake side. You can take the opportunity to cool off by swimming in the crystal clear river or just relax in the shade. You are free to explore the area on your own after the tour, just ask your friendly guide for places of interest.

Today we are offering a very unique white water rafting experience on emerald coloured waters. The River Una is a natural border between Bosnia and Croatia, so today you’ll be officially in no mans land.

Locals say that “the River Una has so many faces” because of the varied levels of rapids and quiet stretches. Our guide will select the best parts which will suite your group’s abilities and will always consider current water levels. After your adventure we’ll transfer you back to the hotel to enjoy your meal. We suggest you to try a glass of local wine on the terrace.

We are back on the water today when we visit the Mreznica Canyon. Kayaking through the gorge is always a fun and exciting challenge. We will be padding through narrow tunnels carved by the river and bypassing the cliffs and drops along the waters. The area of river is surrounded by lush vegetation and picturesque waterfalls. There will be plenty of time to swim and snorkel as we travel to a fresh water spring. Dare devils can leap from the 8m waterfalls here. We will stop on a nice family run farm where you can have a picnic lunch on your own. *In case of high water levels we will use big rafts for 8 people.

Sadly, it is time to say goodbye to your new friends and guides, we will transfer you to the airport for your flight home. If you are not ready to leave yet we can extend your stay, just talk to our Croatia family holidays team.
