Day 1: Arrival

We’ll meet you in Split airport arrivals with a greeting card, then take you on a short transfer to the hotel in Omis. Take an orientation of the old town, find the best beach spot, take a swim, walk the narrow streets and relax into your new surroundings. Tomorrow you’ll begin your adventures, and you’ll soon realise why Omis is seen to be the number #1 location for climbing and kayaking holidays in Croatia

Day 2: Sea kayaking

One of the countries fastest growing sports is sea kayaking. It’s loved by adults and teens as no in depth training is required. It’s a extremely safe, rewarding and relaxing sport, which you can self navigate and discover the local aquatic life. Kayaks allow our guests to escape the crowded beaches and to paddle to quiet coves, deserted beaches and discover the real Adriatic coastline.

Day 3: Hvar Island day trip

One of Croatia’s most loved and most famous islands is Hvar. A stunning Island, with a gorgeous old town, full of personality and many points of interest. Our boat trip provides the ultimate day escape to see the unforgettable sights of this Island and its neighbouring coastlines. It’s a culturally rich island, from medieval walls to a town citadel. Stroll along the picturesque shopping streets or relax in the Ibiza like beach bars. If you get a taste for boats, then consider coming back for our Croatia cycling and sailing holidays.

Day 4: White water rafting

Book a raft and biking holiday in Croatia, to really get off-the-beaten track. White water rafting is a great sport, and even better when experiencing it with like minded people in pristine nature environments (forget those man made ones back in England). Today, you’ll be splashing & thrashing your way down the white ‘Cetina’ river waters. Wet and wild are two words to describe today, and you might gulp some water along the way as we bump into rocks and ride the rapids. Don’t worry, you’ll be in safe hands throughout and the grade of rapids are no more than grade 3. After rafting, either relax on the blue flag beaches, or rent a bike to discover  more of the local coastline (optional extra)

Day 5: Krka National Park

Back on land, it’s time to discover one of the gems of Croatian park life. You really can’t possibly come to the Dalmatia and miss the amazing cascades and waterfalls that the river Krka has produced on its wonder push to the sea. There will be plenty of time to relax at the Krka National Park, to take pictures, explore and even swim underneath the falls. It’s the perfect nature and relaxation day.

Day 6: Beach day

Omis has many nice beaches, so why not grab that airport book and catch up on some reading. If you’re not bothered about topping up the tan – then these activities can be booked on the spot: quad biking, wind surfing, hiking, free climbing, day trips to Trogir or split Unesco old towns.

Day 7: Climbing

Biking rafting family holidays might be big in other areas, but climbing remains the number one sport here in Omis, with some of the best routes for professionals and beginner schools. A combination of tall mountains, blue sea and rivers is a great backdrop when your climbing. With the professional supervision from our guides you will learn how to safely climb and descend the majestic cliffs. Active families in Omis love this day out, and after the climb you can simply swim ion the river or nearby sea. Route heights, range from 10 to 30 metres. Note – this activity can be changed for guests that suffer from vertigo.

Day 8: Beach day (optional Split tour)

Time to top up on the tan, and swim in the warm waters of the Adriatic Sea. Voted this year for the cleanest waters in Europe. If you can’t sit still and want to do more, why not discover Split’s Unesco old town. Split is the biggest city on the Croatian coast, with many historical roots. The UNESCO town is a must see, highlights being the Emperor Diocletian’s palace. We suggest a walk through the palace fortifications and its gates, and to see the historical square Peristyl. Split has wonderful small restaurants and cafes that serve local Dalmatian – Mediterranean food. Of course, we recommend that our clients try the fish dishes.

Day 9: Beach day (optional Trogir tour)

Trogir is another charming old town founded by the Greeks and looks like a mini Venice, with its small narrow network of streets. Declared one of the world’s most beautiful towns, by many travel publications over the years, this UNESCO town is a great half day trip. Without a doubt it’s one of the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic complexes in Central Europe.

Day 10: Canyoning

Action packed family holidays wouldn’t be complete without trying our Cetina canyon routes. Canyoning in our region is perfect for all ages whether Dad or sporty teenage future Olympian. From rock pools to mini waterfalls, you’ll jump and slide your way through the Cetina canyon. Worried parents need not panic! There are no fear factor ‘leap of faith’ jumps. So those scared of heights don’t have to lose sleep.

Day 11: Departure

Time to pack and meet your transfer bus. Our driver will take you back to the airport. We hope to see you again. Note – further extensions can be made.

Accommodation

Our Omis family adventure holidays are based on the coastline, where the Cetina River spills into the Adriatic Sea. Built on the rocky slopes of Mosor mountain, overlooking the river and Omis town, our hotel is only 20Km from Split. Surrounded by blue flag beaches, it will only take 350m to reach the warm blue waters for your first swim.

Each of our rooms offers a plasma TV, and panoramic view of Sea, mountains or Cetina river. Nestled between two majestic canyons, on a sheer stone cliff, the hotel holds a very picturesque position. Rooms are newly renovated, with simple decor colours and offer a comfortable size with free WIFI access.

The hotel has won Trip Advisor awards for service and food, and also follows ECO friendly policies (recently installing the rooftop solar panels). The onsite restaurant is a delight, with amazing views of the river. It’s a stunning backdrop, to enjoy your breakfasts and evening meals. Breakfast offers a selection of: pastries, cereal and warm dishes. For dinner, we recommend the fish carpaccio, and grilled sea bass. But of course there are vegetarian and meat options.

Top tip: Book your time slot on the roof top, and indulge in some private time in the bubbling jacuzzi. Soak up the sun, and order a cocktail ! Mum and Dad can even order an advance massage service at the same time!
